Origins & Development period
Vera and Eeva-Maria met in early 2023 on an Open Day at the Bristol School of Art, where Vera lectures on Fine Art. After learning about each other's work, Vera invited E-M to collaborate on this exhibition at SVA, with curiosity about how her textile based art might meets dance & the art of movement.
Below you'll see some of my own visual documenting from the development period of this collaboration - experiments, words, unfinished ideas... - before it took its final shape in the gallery. Vera was inspired to move and E-M inspired to make objects which were part of/used in the performances. The performance was a structured improvisation. Music we played was by Tin Hat Trio.
